PlatBuild River Cruise on the Kookaburra Queen

Friday 7th March marked the maiden voyage of the SS Platinum (aka the Kookaburra Queen). Nearly 70 builders and suppliers took over the upper deck for an afternoon of plentiful food, drinks, networking and prizes!

Kookaburra Queen River Cruise Boarding

From 12:00pm everyone was lining up along the boardwalk, boarding passes in hand ready to embark on a journey up the beautiful Brisbane River.

Once aboard an open bar and magnificent buffet awaited, with plenty of hot dishes, salads and of course seafood.

After lunch the door prizes were raffled off with most members walking away with something and a few lucky members taking home some fantastic prizes including 2 coffee machines, bottles of wine, a well aged scotch, a golfing kit and an iPad mini!

Thanks to all who attended and helped make the day such a success. We’re sorry for all those who couldn’t make it and hope to see you at the next PlatBuild event!
